ABOUT
About MeshWatch
MeshWatch builds network and infrastructure monitoring software for small and mid-sized organisations — the IT teams who run their own switches, firewalls, servers and certificates, and would rather not hand that visibility to a cloud service to get a dashboard. Everything runs on hardware you already own, on macOS, Windows and Linux, with a self-hosted console when a team needs one view of it.
Working style
Each app in the catalogue is built to solve a specific problem we actually run into ourselves. If an idea would need heavy advertising, a subscription treadmill, or user data collection to work, it does not get shipped. That is a deliberate constraint — it keeps the catalogue small and the apps trustworthy.
Who these are built for
The paid editions are sized for real infrastructure: DeviceWatch is licensed for up to 250 devices, SyslogWatch Enterprise exports a ruleset you can deploy across a fleet, CertWatch and ConfigWatch produce the CSV and PDF an auditor asks for, and MeshWatch Central adds admin, operator and viewer accounts with an audit log of who acknowledged what. That is the shape of a small or mid-sized IT department, an MSP, or a team that has to answer for its own network.
SyslogWatch, TrafficWatch, CertWatch and ConfigWatch have a free tier — three devices or hosts, or for SyslogWatch three alert rules — which is deliberately homelab and evaluation sized. DeviceWatch, TrapWatch, MeshServerWatch and MeshWatch Central do not: they run a 30-day trial of the full product and then need a licence. It is there so you can run the thing on your own network before anyone signs off on a purchase order.
SubWatch is unrelated to any of that — a free web tool for tracking subscriptions.
Support and feedback
Every email gets read. If you found a bug, wanted a feature, or just want to say something worked well, write to support@meshwatch.app. First reply within two business days, Monday to Friday.
Independent, and built to stay that way
MeshWatch is independent and self-funded. There are no outside investors, so there is never a growth target that would make collecting or reselling your data attractive. The catalogue stays small on purpose.
It also means the software does not depend on us being around. Every licence key is signed and verified on your own machine against a public key built into the application — no product contacts a licensing server to activate or to keep running. Your monitoring does not stop because something on our side went down, and it would not stop if we did.
