Getting started

SyslogWatch listens on UDP and TCP port 1514 by default. In your router, NAS, server, or firewall settings, set your Mac’s local IP address as the syslog destination and use port 1514.

No messages appearing?

Confirm that the sender and SyslogWatch use the same port, both devices are on a reachable network, and the macOS firewall allows incoming connections for SyslogWatch.
