No device list to maintain
Anything that reaches the port is accepted, and a device you did not know about shows up the moment it speaks. Point your switches, routers, firewalls and UPSes at this machine’s address, port 1162, and they appear here.
INTERACTIVE DEMO · SAMPLE DATA
This is the TrapWatch window with sample traps arriving — the same layout and the same stylesheet as the installed app. Watch the top of the table: a link that keeps flapping, a UPS that lost power, something probing with a wrong community string. The anomaly panel above the table fills in as the detector notices patterns. Nothing to install, and nothing here is saved anywhere.
The vendor trap from 192.168.4.2 is shown by its OID, not given an invented description — a plausible-sounding guess would send you looking in the wrong place.

Any trap viewer shows you rows. The detector learns each device’s normal pattern on this machine and reports the things a human would have to stare to see: a link that went up and down seven times in ten minutes, a trap arriving nine times when the usual count is zero, a device speaking for the first time. It stays silent until it has a baseline — an alert that fires for everything teaches you to ignore alerts.
Standard traps are decoded — which link, which interface, how badly it matters. Vendor traps are shown by OID exactly as received. TrapWatch does not invent a description for a trap it does not recognise.
Traps are written to this computer, one file per day, exportable to CSV. Nothing is uploaded and no model is downloaded. Optionally connect your own MeshWatch Central (1.3.4 or newer) and it sends only the severity, the source address and a one-line summary — never the varbinds.
Every install starts with a 30-day trial — no card, no account, no email address. TrapWatch has no free tier: when the trial ends it stops accepting new traps until a licence is entered, and what it already stored stays.
